Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter Softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar Adds sweetness and helps with the cookie's texture.
  • 1 cup Packed brown sugar For a rich, caramel-like flavor.
  • 2 large Eggs Bind the ingredients together and add moisture.
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor of the cookies.
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour The base of your cookie dough.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda Helps the cookies rise and become fluffy.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Balances the sweetness and enhances the flavors.
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips Semi-sweet or dark, depending on your preference.
  • 1 cup Caramel bits These will melt beautifully inside the cookies.
  • to taste pinch Sea salt For sprinkling on top, adding that perfect salty touch.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel bits until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the centers remain soft.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Before serving, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of each cookie.
