Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Sausage Choose your favorite type, such as Italian, smoked, or chicken sausage.
  • 1 cup Long-grain white rice This will be the base of your meal, soaking up all the delicious flavors.
  • 2 cups Chicken broth Using broth instead of water adds depth to the dish.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped finely, adds sweetness and aroma.
  • 1 medium Bell pepper Any color will do! Diced for a pop of color and crunch.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds warmth and a hint of smokiness.

Instructions
 

  • Slice the sausage into bite-sized pieces.
  • Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the sausage. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the pot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until soft. Then, add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Stir in the rice, ensuring it is well combined with the sausage and vegetables.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle in the paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed all the liquid.
  • Remove the pot from heat and let it sit, covered, for about 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
