Ingredients
  

Croissant Dough

  • 1 package Store-bought croissant dough Or homemade if preferred.

Filling Ingredients

  • 8 slices Thinly sliced ham Honey-baked or smoked for added flavor.
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese Can substitute with cheddar, gouda, or mozzarella.
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash.
  • 1 tablespoon Water To mix with the egg for egg wash.

Optional Seasonings

  • 1 pinch Black pepper To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried herbs (thyme, etc.) Optional for added flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • If using store-bought dough, unroll it on a clean surface. If making your own, prepare the dough according to your recipe.
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  • Cut the rolled dough into triangles.
  • Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each triangle. Add optional seasonings if desired.
  • Starting from the wide end, roll the triangle tightly towards the point to form a croissant shape. Tuck the ends slightly to form a crescent.
  • Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
  • Mix the egg with water to create an egg wash and brush the tops of the croissants.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

These croissants can be customized with different cheeses and vegetables for added flavor.
